Hybrid seminar
This seminar will reflect on the outcomes of the climate summit - COP30 in Belem, Brazil - and the implications for tropical forests. Much of the debate has been around the proposed Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF), a financial mechanism to generate payments to countries to maintain tropical forests. The presentations and discussion will also cover the debate on Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPs and LCs), the integration of REDD+ into carbon markets, and Norway’s role.
