European Conference of Tropical Ecology 2024 in Lisbon

The “European Conference of Tropical Ecology” and the Annual Meeting of the Society for Tropical Ecology (Gesellschaft für Tropenökologie, gtö) in 2024 will take place at the University of Lisbon. It provides an interdisciplinary platform for discussing major challenges and future opportunities in tropical ecology.

The overarching topic will be "Tropical ecosystems in a fast-changing planet“.

The conference will take place from Monday 12 to Friday 16 February 2024.

Aida Cuni-Sanchez, a member of the Steering Committee of the Tropical Forest Area, will be one of the keynote speakers, talking about "Local perceptions of forest ecosystem services, insights from Africa".
