IUFRO stands for International Union of Forest Research Organisations and is a non-profit, non-governmental international network of forest scientists, which promotes global cooperation in forest-related research.
The IUFRO World Congress is one of the largest global forest events, held every five years since 1893.
This year's congress will be held in Sweden under the theme "Forests & Society Towards 2050".
