Inclusive Development International and UChicago Data Science Institute have launched PalmWatch, a new mapping tool that enables linking the biggest users of palm oil to specific mills and fruit cultivation areas.
The tool covers 32 countries, assessing the number of palm oil mills, percentage of tree cover area lost and deforestation rates, visualised in an interactive map.
It reveals the ground-level impacts of 15 major users of palm oil, including hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of deforestation.
Track the activities of companies like Nestlé, PepsiCo or Unilever and learn about their impacts!
